Text by Frederique Darragon, professor Honoris Causa at Sichuan University, who has done 12 field trips and worked on that project for 7 years.
In June 2003 she introduced the forgotten towers to the UNESCO, hoping to get them on the World Heritage List
In 2005, she applied to the World Monuments Fund for the inscription of theses towers on their 2006 World Monuments Watch
Also with photos of exotic and endangered local animals and of rare flowers
Many of the photos are by Frederique Darragon.
The other photos are by artists, most of whom are famous photographers, from many different origins: American, English, French, Han Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Jiarong, Tibetan and Yi. The list is not completed but it will include Andrea Bruno, Chang De, Mike Hill, Han Yuanhua, He Zhenhua, Lan Yong, Lu Hailin, Andrea Migliorini, Kenzo Okawa, Wang Kaiyou, Wang she Bo, Yang Qiang, Zhao Hong, and Zhe li
They all have graciously authorized the use of their photos.
Frederique has also filmed and co-produced the Documentary
